Exercise against cellulite in Cannes
Massage is nice (and feels great!) but experts agree that exercise and work out help to reduce the appearance of cellulite on your body.
Both massage and exercise are essentials.
A daily cardio exercise combined with two to three strength-training sessions a week is recommended to lessen the appearance of cellulite.
For a daily cardio exercise you can choose, for example, between:
– brisk walking or jogging
– working out on an elliptical machine
– bike riding (stationary or outdoors)
For strength training sessions, here are some leg and glute exercises to get you started (step-ups, lunges, squats):
Perform the first three movements, then repeat your routine for 15 to 20 minutes
• step-ups
Stand upright in front of a bench or sturdy exercise box.
Step up onto the box with one foot, then the other.
Step one foot back down, then the other.
Repeat.
Complete 3 sets of 10 reps with both legs.
• lunges
Start in a standing position with your feet hip-width apart.
Step forward longer than a walking stride so one leg is ahead of your torso and the other is behind. Your foot should land flat and remain flat while it’s on the ground. Your rear heel will rise off of the ground.
Bend your knees to approximately 90 degrees as you lower yourself. Remember to keep your trunk upright and core engaged.
Then, forcefully push off from your front leg to return to the starting position.
Complete 3 sets of 10 reps with both legs.
• squats
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, pointing toes forward.
Lower as if you were sitting in a chair, making sure your knees don’t go past your toes.
Squeeze your glute muscles as you rise to the starting position.
Repeat.
Complete 3 sets of 10 reps.
